ok heres the deal. i found a banging ass deal on this turboed bubble. Its clean, no rust, its basically what i wanted but it has this turbo which i know nothing about. Im a bseries guy (jdm b16 ej1 coupe i/h/e gsr tranny etc) and i dont know how its going to be going from dohc to single cam. In short, i just want to know if this is a good turbo setup for a d16z6 and if i were to be able to push it to like 12 psi...
ENGINE:
* Stock D16Z6 from a ’93 Si. 159,416 miles. Fully rebuilt < 20,000 miles ago. Turbo’d < 10,000 miles ago. Perfect compression, doesn’t burn any oil, no major leaks, etc. Meticulously maintained. Runs like new.
* DSM 14b TD05H turbo. Zero shaft play. Runs/spools like new @ 9psi. I’ve actually been using the coolant lines since day 1, unlike most people who do it the ghetto way and don’t make use of their turbo’s water-cooling capabilities. Turbo was completely rebuilt before I put it on the car.
* Port-matched HF exhaust manifold w/ adapter plate.
* JDM Silvia side-mount intercooler (mounted as a front-mount w/ custom charge piping).
* 1G DSM BOV. Very nice sound! Soft and subtle for daily driving; loud as hell when you get on it and want it to be loud.
* Custom downpipe w/ flexpipe.
* DSM 450cc injectors.
* Tuner Toys oil line kit.
* Walbro 255 fuel pump.
* B&M FPR.
* McMaster-Carr vacuum manifold.
* PCV deleted.
* Custom MFactory dual catchcan setup.
* Catalytic converter deleted w/ test pipe in its place.
* Stock O2 sensor deleted.
* RS*R GTII exhaust system. This + test pipe = VERY free-flowing, yet fast-spooling, exhaust.
* NGK spark plug wires.
* NGK BKR7E spark plugs.
* Marshall fuel pressure gauge.
* MFactory magnetic oil drain plug.
* Custom polyurethane motor mounts.
* Mobil 1 oil + new oil filter every 2,500 miles.
ENGINE MANAGEMENT/ELECTRONICS:
* Chipped/tuned P28 ECU. Moates Hondalog-ready. I’m also including the Moates BURN1 programmer AND both Crome map files (daily driver/boost map + emissions map).
* PLX R-300 wideband O2 computer.
* DEFI amber boost gauge.
* DEFI amber temp gauge.
* Greddy turbo timer.
TRANSMISSION:
* Stock 5-speed S20 from a ’93 Si. Shifts absolutely butter smooth. No grinds whatsoever.
* B&M short shifter w/ poly bushings.
* Clutch Specialties Stage 2 clutch & pressure plate.
* Resurfaced stock flywheel.
* MFactory magnetic fluid drain plug.
* GM Synchromesh at every fluid change.
MAINTENANCE:
* Timing belt replaced ~8,000 miles ago.
* Water pump replaced ~8,000 miles ago.
* Upper radiator hose replaced ~8,000 miles ago.
* Clutch/pressure plate (Clutch Specialties Stage 2) replaced & stock flywheel resurfaced ~8,000 miles ago.
* Rear main seal replaced ~8,000 miles ago.

* New valve cover gasket ~3,000 miles ago.
* New distributor o-ring ~3,000 miles ago.
* New VTEC solenoid seals/gaskets/filters ~3,000 miles ago.
* New fuel filter ~3,000 miles ago.
* New oil pan gasket ~3,000 miles ago.
* Brake system flushed/bled ~500 miles ago.
* New plug wires ~3,000 miles ago.
* New spark plugs ~500 miles ago.
* New coolant temp sensor ~1,000 miles ago.
* New coolant temp sending unit ~1,000 miles ago.
* New thermostat switch ~1,000 miles ago.
* 4-wheel alignment done ~6,000 miles ago.
This was copied and pasted and he said he replaced all those things listed above with new oem parts etc before he put on the turbo. Please let me know asap because im seriously am going to consider buying it. All i know from research for about an hour is that the 14b is from a 1g eclipse/talon? its a relatviely small turbo. Thats it. Any information at all, would be appreciated.
Also if it is a decent turbo setup how much hp (i know everyone hates this but i cant afford a dyno right now) would i be making to the wheels, and if i crank the boost up to 12 psi instead of 9.
